ABOUT
New York City born, Puerto Rico raised, Shari Abdul is a SAG-AFTRA actress currently based in The City. She discovered her passion for entertaining when she was five years old, singing songs for her parents to manipulate them into skipping work and/or buy her a puppy. Once she got a puppy and realized this might be a profitable career she began to pursue her musical passion. She gained small recognition winning various singing competitions around the island, most prominently MTV Puerto Rico’s three-part talent series!
Eventually she moved back the island she was born in to be a small fish in a big pond! New York City was no easy task but she always thrived on challenges!
There she dedicated her focus on being a working actor and within a few years most of her wildest dreams became a reality! Now her work can be seen in shows like Law & Order: SVU, Bull, Netflix’s Seven Seconds and independent films such as Looks That Kill and Mateo’s Room.
You can find Shari taking selfies at any random corner of the world, learning about different cultures and awkwardly approaching foreign strangers she wants to be friends with but you’ll likely spot her running around the city rushing to her next audition like a crazy person! No judgements!
